Hi ...

My grandfather was from Montreal. He lived there with his family for quite a while! His name was Salvatore (John) DiZazzo. He was working on a genealogy project, but I'm not sure how far he was able to trace back. I know that once DiZazzo's came to north america he believes they split into two, some went to the states and the rest settled in the Montreal region.

Does anyone know my grandfather?

There are many DiZazzo in Montreal, but I have not yet tracked down a connection to the other DiZazzos.

It appears that DiZazzos were coming to both Quebec and the U.S. in the first two decades of the 20th cen., then, when U.S. limited immigration in the 1920s, migration was only to Canada.
